I was greatly relieved today by reading that those who deceive Congress will be dealt with harshly.

As I've only added a couple of ideas to that story, click over there to comment. To me, this story highlights the laugh-ability of any statement from Washington that all we need are more regulations; what we need are people in congress who give a damn.
Tuesday, WASHINGTON (AP)—All-Star shortstop Miguel Tejada has been charged with lying to Congress about an ex-teammate’s use of steroids, the latest baseball player to get caught up in a web of cheating and juicing that has stained the sport.

In the documents filed Tuesday, Tejada is charged with lying to investigators for the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform in 2005.

Former Rep. Tom Davis, a Virginia Republican who chaired the committee in 2005, said he believed Tejada lied.
“It just shows that when you do something illegal like this, that you pay a price,” Davis said in an interview with The Associated Press.
Oh the irony, the righteous and honorable Tom Davis lecturing about illegality. You know, the Tom Davis who headed the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform for the first 6 2003-2007 years of the Bush experiment. Hahahahahahah! Yes Davis, the crusader for truth and justice who struck "Oversight" from the commitee's title, really! Waxman's first act was to put Oversight back into the committee name when the Dems regained control of the House in 2007. Well Henry?
